Komal is a self-taught artist, who was born and brought up in Kisumu, Kenya. She paints part time. Her passion for painting started at a young age, having been motivated by her mother to pursue her talent and bring out the artist in her.
She specializes in acrylics and textured paint. Her paintings are at the intersection of nature’s landscape and abstract. Komal is interested in creating space that feels like the familiar world around us, but is ambiguous, general, and abstracted.
