Art Exhibitions

Art and cultural exhibitions provide a vibrant and locally relevant space for knowledge creation, community interaction and for engaging citizens in critical discourse around social issues. DeroArts aims to expose local artists and art lovers to a larger art scene by bringing artists from outside Kisumu to the lake shores. In particular, it supports artists from the region who have moved to other cities to return and showcase their work. Through exhibitions and talks with individual artists, film makers, storytellers and researchers, DeroArts stimulates both artists and the general public to reflect on history, social issues, injustices and inequality holding a mirror to society.
